K: the advantages and disadvantages of using a mood board to inspire content of new media product.
U: how different types of images and fonts can affect the way audiences consume media texts.
BAT: produce a mood board that illustrates your initial ideas for your media product.
CO: Use media terminology throughout.
What brief did you choose?
My brief is to create a front cover and a double spread article for an informative educational magazine aimed at an audience of 10-13 year olds. Mine is based on a informative cooking magazine aimed at children who want to express themselves through cooking .
What are the minimum requirements for your chosen production?
For my production I must include at least five original images .
For my front cover i must include :
original masthead /title
A strapline
A cover price , barcode and edition number
Original images : at least one main cover image
At least three cover lines one of which must link to the double page spread article
For my double spread article i must include :
A headline , stand-first and sub-headings
Original images : one main article and at least three other images
Feature article of approximately 300 words that links to one of the cover lines on the front page
What is the target audience as prescribed in the brief?
My target audience is for 10-13 year old's .
What is your target audience for the product you're creating? (this needs to link to the audience profiling post).
My target audience is for 10-13 year old's who have inetrest in cooking .
"In this task I'll explore different types of images, fonts and colours to use in my Educational Cooking Magazine. I shall be looking at different connotations and how these affect the way my target audience might view my product. By creating this mood board I will also be exploring creative ways of how to present my work".
